Smartshop, created by sculptor Holly Fisher in 2002, houses The Smartshop Metal Arts Collective, a non-profit metalworking school as well as The Smartshop Art Gallery which represents artists from around the region who specialize in original, finely crafted works of art in all mediums. Smartshop boasts over 6,000 square feet of workspace, with a plethora of modern metalworking equipment including three coal forges, three gas forges and a power hammer. Classes and workshops are offered for the novice to advanced metals artist, with focus placed on safety and inspiration. The Gallery is an inspiring, thought provoking experience.
